Officer Christina Hemminger graduated from Leadership Somerset County
Officer Christina Hemminger graduated June 16, 2016 from Leadership Somerset County. The 10-month program begins in September with an overnight retreat focusing on networking, team-building and leadership skills. This important opening session, facilitated by Allegany College of Maryland faculty members, sets the tone for the class. Other sessions include:
- Economic Development
- Local Government
- Education
- Preparing Youth For Our Community
- Health/Human Services
- Energy & Natural Resources
- Business Development & Entrepreneurship
- Judicial System
- Our Heritage/Quality of Life
- Non-Profit Organizations.
Participants must attend 80% of these sessions and complete a group community service project to receive a certificate at graduation in June.
Congratulations to Officer Hemminger, the first police officer to have participated in Leadership Somerset County.
