Bears find interest in the Borough

Somerset Police have responded to a number of calls about a black bear (or bears) coming into town in the past few weeks.  This picture was captured by Officer Tony Novak of one of the bears in front of the municipal building on Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2005.

Citizens are cautioned not to approach the bears and certainly not to feed them.  Rather, stay clear of any bear and call 911 immediately to report a sighting.
