The Borough of Somerset believes in recycling, and motor oil is NO EXCEPTION!

Those of us that are weekend mechanics and even the professionals, should be recycling our old motor oil.

    Most auto parts stores will take your used oil for recycling. One place is the Auto Zone right here in Somerset. If you Know of others please email them to: Somerset Borough.

    When recycling motor oil, use a clean, empty reseal able container such as a plastic jug or specialized used oil container. Do Not mix motor oil with other substances. At the collection site, ask an attendant where to deposit used oil. Don't leave it unattended at the site. Take your container home with you to reuse again.
