Officer Santa is the Community Affairs Officer of the Somerset Borough Police Department. His duties in this post include the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program in which he teaches the D.A.R.E. K-12 curriculum in the Somerset Area School District and at St. Peter’s Catholic School. Additionally, Officer Santa coordinates an after-school activities program at Somerset Area Junior High School is initiating a mentoring program in the elementary grades.

His other community relations efforts include educational efforts for the business community, the senior population and various other groups. Officer Santa also coordinates the National Night Out Celebration. Prior to joining the Somerset Borough Police Department Officer Santa retired from the City of Johnstown Police Department where he was a Student Resource Officer, K-9 Officer and Instructor and Firearms Instructor.
