Sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Somerset for the following:

Asphalt Materials: 9.5 MMR; 25 MMR; Stockpile Patching; and

Crushed Stone: 2A Stone; 2A Modified; 2RC; #57 AASHTO; #10 AASHTO; #1 AASHTO; #8 AASHTO; and AASHTO Type II – Anti-skid to be delivered and price for materials to be picked up by the Borough of Somerset. Specific quantities and detailed information are included in the bid specification.

No bidder may withdrawal his/her bid within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. The Council of the Borough of Somerset reserves the right to accept and/or reject any or all bids.
Bids must be received on or before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010, at which time the sealed bids will be opened and read aloud.

Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make award as it deems to be in the best interests of the Borough. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof.

The Council of the Borough of Somerset will accept bids until 2:00 p.m. May 17th 2010 for the sale of one 1994 GMC 2500, ¾ Ton Pickup Truck, Serial No. 1GTFK24K6RE503088 and 109,649 miles. Successful bidder is responsible for removing vehicle from Borough premises within 14 consecutive calendar days from date of award. Payment in full for the vehicle, and title transfer must be made prior to its removal. All questions must be resolved in advance of bid opening. Vehicle will be sold “as is,” and no warranties, (written, expressed, or implied) are conveyed by the Borough of Somerset in these specifications, and the sale is final. Interested parties may inspect vehicle at the Borough Maintenance Garage, 644 South Franklin Avenue, Somerset, PA 15501, or by phoning the Borough Manager’s Office (814) 445-9742 for instructions. Hours for inspection are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
